This was a marvelous life time goal achieved by Fred Devellano and wife Maria Stella.
We spent 3 weeks in Italy May 2012 and part of the trip was in Sicily.
It was very important to me (Fred) to make a trip back to Sicily to connect up to the family that Mariano left behind 112 years earlier on May 15 1900 when he came to America and then Canada.
Maria Stella and I were the first Devellano’s to connect to the original family.
The original name was located on a Italian Government pension document for Marianna Devellano (BoviConti)(see ancestry pictures) The document shows that family name was Pedivellano.
